Join The Team: Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old to be an unarmed security officer
Must be at least 21 years old to be an armed security officer (with an Armed Security License)
Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test (except when undergoing documented medical treatment)
Must be able to pass a background check (including criminal history, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable)
Must be able to obtain State and City Security Guard Licenses and Permits
Major Activity
Routine job tasks include working on a computer while sitting, monitoring telephone calls, driving and standing for patrols.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
Officers must be able to stand for long periods of time; bend and lift up to 25 pounds (stretching and reaching for objects occurs on occasion).
ENVIRONMENT
The ability to work in extreme temperatures is expected of all Security One officers.

Role Responsibility
Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons
Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits
Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activity
Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
